These knives are developed from MCKF Italian Forum. LionSteel has made the production. We started froma 2D drawings. MCKF-3

Once again the preferred steel for such kind of knives is the Calmax



After a pool for the scales, we have selected the black and the green micarta


The steel has been delivered at Lionsteel. Unfortunatly the only format available is in thick billets. It will be "sliced" down to 10mm plates.


After the cutting operations:



The flats are then "rectified" to ground flat with a CNC machinery and laser cutted to the final shape. Here the tickness is a little bit over the final to allow the grinding and finishing The MCKF3:

Here is the CNC machinery used for the micarta scales: it's a GE Fanuc 3 axis millin tool
