Knife Community Italia was founded in 2020 by a group of friends who shared a simple idea: creating a true community for knife enthusiasts. The goal was to transform a basic buy/sell group into a broader, more dynamic and participatory space, where craftsmen, collectors, and users could share experiences, learn from one another, and nurture their passion for the wonderful world of cutlery.Between 2023 and 2024, the KC-01 project was born, the result of the friendship between Michele Pensato, known by everyone as Molletta, a designer with decades of experience, and Raffaele Santoro, a devoted knife enthusiast and one of the founders of Knife Community Italia. The idea was clear from the start: creating a versatile knife capable of accompanying its user in any outdoor activity. This is why the entire community was involved from day one.
The project was shared with the founders and all members of the group, who, through polls, chose the blade length, steel type, and final design. Production was entrusted to an Italian company recognized as a leader in the field: lionSTEEL, thanks to the availability and support of the Pauletta family.
In 2024, lionSTEEL produced 300 pieces in the “Satin” version and 12 pieces in the “Old Black” version — all sold out in record time.
The success was such that the group decided to continue, giving life to the KC-02, a model featuring a 4.5'' MagnaCut blade, once again produced in only 300 units… which sold out just a few days after launch. By then, the path was clear: stopping was no longer an option.
This led to the creation of the KC-03, developed with the same shared spirit. A striking knife featuring a 7.5'' CPM 3V blade. This series will also be limited to 300 pieces, available with three different Canvas handle options: Black, Green, and Natural.
